Negishi Japanese White Pine

Negishi Japanese White Pine (Pinus parviflora 'Negishi') Negishi Japanese White Pine is a refined evergreen conifer that adds cool color and year-round structure to the landscape. Its needle color leans blue-green, giving beds a calmer, more polished look in every season. Slow, steady growth makes it easier to place as a long-term anchor without constant size management. If you want a specimen-style conifer that feels collected and intentional, Negishi is a strong choice. Distinctive Features This Japanese white pine is valued for dense branching and blue-green needles held in soft tufts that create a layered, sculptural texture. The habit is typically compact to broadly upright, developing characterful branching that becomes more interesting with age. Needle color is often strongest in full sun, where the plant maintains a tighter, more defined silhouette. It provides four-season interest through form and foliage rather than flowers, making it a dependable evergreen feature in curated beds. Growing Conditions...
