Mint Julep Chinese Juniper

Mint Julep Chinese Juniper (Juniperus chinensis 'Monlep') Mint Julep Chinese Juniper, Juniperus chinensis 'Monlep', is a broad, arching evergreen shrub valued for its rich mint green foliage, durable nature, and easygoing shape that works in both traditional and modern landscapes. Long, sweeping branches radiate out from the center and gently arch downward, creating a full, cascading mound that softens foundations, walls, and slopes. The clean green color holds through the seasons, giving you a dependable evergreen backdrop and a ready made focal point in sunny, well drained sites. Distinctive Features Mint Julep Chinese Juniper typically matures around 3 to 5 feet tall and 5 to 7 feet wide, forming a broad, fountain like outline that spreads wider than it is high. Dense sprays of fine textured foliage cover the branches from the base to the tips, so the plant reads as a solid, well filled mass rather than a leggy shrub. The foliage is a clear medium green with a fresh, minty cast, and the layered branching gives the shrub depth and dimension in the landscape. Its combination of size, texture, and easy natural form makes it a versatile choice where you want coverage, structure, and a subtle focal point without constant clipping. Growing Conditions...
