Flaming Silver Pieris

Flaming Silver Pieris (Pieris japonica 'Flaming Silver') Flaming Silver Pieris is an evergreen shrub that brightens part-shade landscapes with variegated foliage and a clean, structured habit. It keeps beds looking finished year-round, while adding a fresh burst of new growth that brings extra seasonal color. In spring, it produces graceful flower clusters that soften the plant and add interest when many shrubs are just waking up. If you want an evergreen with strong foliage contrast and multi-season appeal, this pieris is a reliable choice. Distinctive Features This selection is prized for glossy evergreen leaves edged in creamy white, creating a lighter, more luminous look in shaded areas. New growth often emerges with pink to red tones, adding another layer of interest before maturing to the classic variegated foliage. In early to mid spring, it produces drooping clusters of small, urn-shaped white flowers that complement the foliage without overwhelming it. The overall habit is upright to rounded, making it useful as a mid-height anchor in foundation beds, woodland borders, and mixed shrub plantings. Growing Conditions...
