Cleveland Select Callery Pear

The Cleveland Select Callery Pear (Pyrus calleryana 'Cleveland Select') is a cultivar of the Callery pear tree. It is a deciduous ornamental tree known for its beautiful spring display of white blossoms, which appear before the leaves, and its attractive glossy green foliage that turns shades of red and purple in the fall. The tree has a symmetrical, upright growth habit, making it a popular choice for lining streets and residential avenues. However, it's important to be aware that some cultivars of Callery pear, including 'Cleveland Select,' are considered invasive in some regions due to their aggressive nature, so it's essential to check with local authorities and ensure responsible planting practices when considering this tree for landscaping.
