Cesky Gold Dwarf Birch

Cesky Gold Dwarf Birch (Betula x plettkei 'Golden Treasure')Cesky Gold Dwarf Birch (Betula x plettkei 'Golden Treasure') is a compact, slow-growing birch cultivar valued for its bold chartreuse foliage and refined shape. Unlike traditional birch trees, this selection grows more like a shrub, offering ornamental foliage color, cold hardiness, and low maintenance in a compact form. Bred from a hybrid with Arctic origins, Cesky Gold is extremely hardy and well-suited to small gardens, foundation plantings, and northern landscapes.Distinctive FeaturesThis dwarf birch matures to about 2 to 4 feet tall and wide, forming a dense, rounded mound. Spring foliage emerges bright orange-red before maturing to glowing yellow-gold, providing long-lasting seasonal interest. The small, toothed leaves hold their color well through the growing season, even in full sun. Unlike full-size birches, Cesky Gold offers ornamental appeal without the size, pest concerns, or mess of falling bark or catkins.Growing Conditions Sun Exposure: Full sun to part shade; best color in full sun. Soil: Adaptable to a wide range of soil types; prefers well-drained soil....
